How to Place Stock Actions Trades in Your Mobile App

You read the Stock Actions recommendation. You know what it says. Then you open your brokerage app and meet a screen full of menus, prices, and order types.

That is where a simple trade can suddenly feel like a final exam.

These 12 YouTube Shorts show Stock Actions trades in real mobile apps, from choosing the action through reviewing the order. No theory lesson. Just the screen you need and the next button to press.

Four Actions. That’s the Whole List.

Stock Actions publishes one set of recommendations each evening before the next business day, in time for subscribers to place Buy/Sell Stops before the open. You place every order yourself, at your own brokerage. These walkthroughs focus on the Buy Stop and Sell Stop actions used when a recommendation calls for them.

There are four things you may need to do with a Stock Actions recommendation:

  • Place a Buy Stop to open a position if the specified stop price is reached.
  • Place a Sell Stop to set an exit order for a position.
  • Edit an open order when a recommendation changes.
  • Cancel an open order when it no longer applies.

Buy Stop. Sell Stop. Edit. Cancel. Once those four actions are familiar, the order ticket stops looking like a wall of choices.

These walkthroughs use Fidelity, Schwab, and Robinhood as examples. Stock Actions works with any brokerage that allows daily trading, like these three and many others. They are examples, not an exhaustive list. You still place every order in the brokerage you choose.

If You Only Watch Two

Start with the Buy Stop and Sell Stop videos for your brokerage. Those are the two actions you need to understand before placing and managing a typical Stock Actions trade.

The Edit and Cancel videos can wait until you need them. Bookmark this page and come back. There is no prize for memorizing a menu you may not open today.

Apps Change. The Sequence Still Holds.

Brokerages redesign their apps. A button may move, a menu may get a new name, or the order ticket may look different from the video.

When that happens, follow the same sequence: symbol, action, order type, stop price, timing, review. Read the review screen before you submit. Confirm the trade direction, quantity, stop price, and how long the order will remain open.

For a plain-language explanation of what happens after a stop price is reached, read Buy Stop / Sell Stop Strategy Explained. The videos show where to tap; that companion explains the mechanics behind the order.

You Stay in Control

You place every trade yourself, at your own brokerage. investment.tips never accesses your accounts. You see the recommendation, enter the order, review it, and decide whether to submit.

That separation is useful here. You do not have to hand over an account or wonder what happened behind the scenes. You can watch the exact action first, then do it yourself at a pace that feels comfortable.

More brokerage walkthroughs are coming. For now, pick the app you use and watch its Buy Stop and Sell Stop videos. Then open the app while the steps are still fresh.

You have seen it done. The screen is just a screen now.

Once You Are Comfortable, You Can Do Both At Once

Every video above places one order at a time, in the mobile app, during the day.

There is a second way. On brokerages that support conditional orders, you can submit a Buy Stop and its matching Sell Stop together, as a single linked pair, at any hour — so the protective order arms itself automatically if the entry fills. Schwab calls it One-Triggers-All; Fidelity calls it Order Triggers Order. Same idea, different name. Check your own brokerage for what it offers.

That is the version that survives a busy workday, because none of it needs you to be watching at 9:30 in the morning. When you are ready for it, read Place Tomorrow's Trades Tonight — it walks through the screens at both brokerages.
